Mary Ann Nichols Williams

Mary Ann Nichols Williams passed away of heart failure on August 16, 1994 at the Moody House Edgewater Retirement Community, where she was a resident intern in preparation for the Methodist Ministry.  She leaves behind three children, Richard B. Hughes, Darcy Williams, and David Williams.  Mary used to say that she wanted to be the one mother to whose house all the kids in the neighborhood would come over to play, because they felt safe there.  Her untimely death cut short her attempt to expand that sentiment to the rest of the world.  I believe that everyone she touched was better off for having known her.  May she rest in peace.
